FSBO Greater Portland was started as an online real estate service company in 2007. Our goal is to help bring together buyers and sellers in the Greater Portland, ME community. Due to the high fees charged by real estate agents, more and more home buyers and sellers are turning to the FSBO method to save money. However, up until now, there hasn’t been an online advertising service dedicated to specifically meeting the needs of buyers and sellers in the Greater Portland, ME community.

I have had the personal experience of both purchasing and selling a home in Madison, WI using the services provided by FBSOMadison.com. So naturally, when my husband and I decided to move back to Maine we were looking for FSBO property. However, we realized there wasn’t a local FSBO service that served this community well. We enjoyed the experience of both buying and selling property without the use of a real estate agent, and wanted to share that experience with others, so FSBO Greater Portland was born!

Although I moved to Wisconsin to earn my MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I am a true Mainer, and grew up in the Portland community. I have returned to raise a family in Portland, a truly terrific coastal city! It is our goal to provide the Greater Portland, ME community with a forum that brings FSBO buyers and sellers together. There are challenges to selling a home FSBO, and we hope we have provided on this site all the resources needed to make it as smooth and successful as possible.
